Believe it or not, British people didn’t wash their hair until the 18th Century when an Indian by the name of Sake Dean Mahomed opened a shop in Brighton selling the first shampoo in the country, made of Indian flowers and herbs. It was more an abrasive scrub than anything else because the first liquid shampoo did not appear until as recent as the beginning of the 20th Century in America, remarkable facts.
