MAS 013 THE GREAT TRAIN ROBBERY
In 1963 a daring robbery took place when 15 criminals robbed the Glasgow to London Post Office Train at Bridego Bridge in Buckinghamshire. This musical/storybook, without glamourising the criminals, tells the story of what went right and what went wrong and how they were eventually caught through their own mistakes. Duration 41 minutes.
MAS 014 THE SHIP THAT ROCKED - THE STORY OF PIRATE RADIO
It is said that the swinging 1960s music revolution changed the world, but unfortunately it wasn't embraced at the outset by The BBC and their reluctance for change. Ships anchored around Britain's coastline and began broadcasting the music the youngsters wanted to hear. They would change radio forever, even though it was banned by the jealous Government. This musical/storybook tells of the ships and the new wave of disc jockeys, many of whom, strangely went on to work for The BBC, an admission of The Corporation's bad judgement. Duration 31 minutes.
MAS 015 - THE GREAT FIRE OF LONDON
History has always stated the Great Fire of London was caused by Thomas Farriner's baker's oven catching fire in Pudding Lane. This musical/storybook offers evidence to the contrary along with other incredible findings from Richard's reading of parts of Samuel Pepys's diary. There is also mention of Sir Christopher Wren who lived just down the road from Pudding Lane with his 15-year-old bride, Elizabeth. And there's much more to discover. Duration 35 minutes.
MAS 016 - THE 1966 WORLD CUP
They became National heroes at Wembley in 1966 but few recognise the hardships most of them suffered in the years that followed. They sold medals, shirts, played lower-league football and most failed in football club management, 1966 was a time when football was a sport for the working-classes, and that included the players who received a £1,000 bonus for winning the cup. This musical/storybook reflects on their very highs and very lows and features World Cup hero Alan Ball. Duration 28 minutes.
