Michael is a high-ranking barrister, based in Salisbury. Despite his standing in the legal profession he also has a passion for sweets and cuddly toys, in particular Stripped Bear, a toy that accompanies him to court which he travels to on his BMX bike. He reads in the local paper of the plight of a young author, Ruby Stevens, whose book has been plagiarised and he fights her case. It's a story of great humour that discovers things aren't quite what they seem.
