THE THIRD WORLD WAR

Our lives were in the laps of gods so we are here against the odds

Our lives torn apart and petrified

Blessings we have counted now, we're still here and we don't know how

We're the survivors who reached the other side

The day the Third World War came

Things would never be the same

Friends we'll never see again

Lost in The Third World War

To us all the army came, no uniform no shape or name

Trillions upon trillions came to take our lives one day

An enemy we never saw brought to us The Third World War

It took us by surprise and took so many lives away

The day the Third World War came

Things would never be the same

Friends we'll never see again

Lost in The Third World War

It picked the sickly of our fold then turned attentions to the old

Those who never had the strength to fight

As they joined old soldiers in the sky with not a chance to say goodbye

Leaving us survivors the ones held on tight

The day the Third World War came

Things would never be the same

Friends we'll never see again

Lost in The Third World War

Memories of those we lost those who sadly paid the cost

Memories of those we hold most dear

Now just photographs staring back and smiling

Whispering they wish that they were here

The day the Third World War came

Things would never be the same

Friends we'll never see again

Lost in The Third World War

THE GUITAR SONG

Where did you go? I missed your tender hand

Where did you go? I didn't understand

I looked all around but I couldn't see your face

I lay here wondering why you never took me out the case

I used to play the notes while you sang the song

All the times we spent together suddenly had gone

I wish I knew what happened to you

I want to know where did you go?

Where did you go? I've fallen out of tune

Where did you go? I hope you come back soon

The way you tuned me up the way you polished me

The way I helped you sing in a complimentary key

Everything went silent not a sound was heard

Not a single note was played not a single word

I wish I knew my strings do too

I want to know where did you go?

Where did you go? you never said

Where did you go? Did you play something else instead?

Together every time you tried a brand new song

One minute you were with me next minute you had gone

Once upon a time I was a special piece of wood

Then you were gone and I never understood

I wish I knew that you'd come through

But now I know you had to go
